Following on from the posts in the 1.5 worklist regarding compulsory movement of ships/squadrons. I have always played that you must move a minimum of half speed, up to the maximum. There should be no course changes unless to avoid an obstacle, another ship or land mass. There is another reason a ship is allowed to change course, which is to follow the squadron flagship or to regain squadron integrity. So if the flagship ends off to the left of a ship the ship may head towards it or continue on its current heading. I have always interpreted this that any ships other than the flagship will attempt to follow the flag. The flagship is going to go straight, unless to avoid something, other than torps! There is the small possibility to "cheese" the rules and only go a certain speed that means you have to make a course change, ie your half speed movement puts you within 5cms of another ship whereas moving faster will clear the ship. I am definitely going to do that if it would put in danger of torpedoes....

As far as I can see, you are playing the rules as intended :)
