Hello,

let's say someone suffers a lot of hull damage in an attack and also hits location 3 where the target is forced to make yet another command check. It rare cases it can happen that 3-4 command checks are needed after a single attack. In this case the target has to make 3-4 command checks or just one (last)? I assume after failing the command check the ship makes only one breaking off maneuver, correct?

Also, can a ship turn more than 90 degrees in a breaking off maneuver?

Hello habaya,

You take a command check after the activation is complete. And you take only one check per activation.

Great find though, this was missing in the rulebook. I added the following phrase in the 1.5 beta version:
"Only one command check is made per activation. So if a ship has suffered enough damage and special effects to require multiple command checks only one is needed at the end of the activation. It is still possible to make multiple command checks in the same turn spread over multiple activations though."

Yes, only one break off maneuver is required, no matter how many command checks you needed to make. Also note that a ship that has broken off cannot be broken off again unless it has been rallied in the meantime.

And no, a ship cannot turn more than 90 degrees during a breaking off move
